I grew up in Wyandotte, where I swam for
the Wyandotte Wildcats Swim Club and my middle school and high school
teams. I graduated from Wyandotte Roosevelt and went to Northern
Michigan University, there I earned a B.S. in physics. I began coaching
in high school. I spent four years as an assistant coach for the middle
school swim team in Wyandotte. When we moved to Ypsilanti, I met an
Otter's coach who got me in contact with Bud Dornbos, the then
Ypsilanti Otters head coach. He hired me in the fall of '93. I have
been with the Otters ever since, coaching everything from pups to what
we now call the competitive group.
In the summers I have dabbled in many
other programs, including the Buhr Park sharks, Ann Arbor Masters Swim,
and Ypsilanti's Rutherford Municipal Pool's swim club. I'm married to
Eric Rudolph and we have one daughter, Bridgette.
