BUD DORNBOS-YPSILANTI OTTERS MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

Applicants for the BUD DORNBOS-YPSILANTI OTTERS MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP do not (necessarily) need to anticipate playing varsity athletics. This award is targeted for qualifying students who exemplifies enthusiasm for life and the pursuit of excellence that characterized Bud Dornbos.

QUALIFICATIONS

1. Unless a move has occurred the most recent age group membership must have been at least two years with the Ypsilanti Area Otters.

2. Any graduating senior may apply.

3. The scholarship must be used towards college, trade school or any form of higher education.

SELECTION PROCESS

A committee composed of the current Ypsilanti Otters Board members, coaches, and a member of the Dornbos family will screen all written applications. The committee will select a candidate or candidates and award an amount up to $500.00 (five hundred dollars).

All applications must be completed and submitted to the Ypsilanti Otters Board by the first Monday in March.

No late applications will be accepted.

Awards will be presented at the Otters Banquet in March or April of each year.
